VERTICAL was developed by BG Byggros, a company that has for 35 years provided products, solutions, and expertise to the construction and civil engineering sector in Scandinavia. VERTICAL provides guidance on irrigation systems, technical solutions, custom fittings, as well as monitoring and surveillance systems. We also assist with engineering calculations and dimensioning when needed.

We guarantee quality-assured plant procurement from selected nurseries, with a minimum of two months of pre-growth for the plant compositions before delivery and installation.

You receive supervision during installation, as well as monitoring and data management after completion.

During the operation and maintenance phase of VERTICAL, full monitoring and hands-on management are provided by specially trained gardeners.

The Green Facade of the Future

From a vision to promote greener construction, the idea for VERTICAL began to grow.
VERTICAL is the result of four years of development within an MUDP project, carried out in collaboration with facade specialist KOMPROMENT, Henning Larsen Architects, and a number of other professional groups such as nurseries, gardeners, building designers, and engineers. The strength of the facade system lies in the combined expertise of all these different specialists within the industry.

The objective was to innovate traditional green add-on facade systems and create a green, building-integrated facade system that replaces the climate screen. The mission succeeded. VERTICAL stands out from other green facades because the system offers two application options: the facade system can be integrated directly into the building structure, thereby replacing the traditional climate screen, or it can be mounted onto existing buildings.

Operation and Maintenance

VERTICAL is a complete solution that includes a comprehensive operation and maintenance agreement, in which the wall is monitored for moisture, temperature, and plant growth through built-in sensors.
Behind this, a specialised back-office team continuously monitors the condition of the wall. This provides peace of mind and ensures that your façade remains vibrant, green, and flourishing.

The operation and maintenance agreement places particular emphasis on ensuring the green façade’s

health throughout all seasons, as well as supporting the developer’s desired aesthetic.

Together with the specialised, frost-proof irrigation technology and the daily monitoring of the façade’s condition, you can relax. There is no operational responsibility placed on the developer.
