The composition of the elements in VERTICAL is the key to enabling the façade system to function as an actual building component while simultaneously serving as a growing base for the plants. In this way, VERTICAL innovates the traditional green wall systems on the market, which function solely as add-on structures.
Summer bloom
A flower-rich and lush plant composition that thrives during the warm months and creates visual impact. Primarily perennials with a few grasses. The summer and winter periods stand in contrast, as the planting will retreat into a dormant winter state and expose the front material.
Grassland
A light and airy plant composition featuring grasses and perennials. The characteristic, delicate grasses with swaying seed heads move with the wind, creating a natural and vibrant expression. Occasional flowers appear during the summer months, and the seed heads remain as winter structure.
Evergreen
A high proportion of evergreen perennials, grasses, and small shrubs. Lush and green all year round. Occasional flowering and berry formation. The evergreen shrubs provide shelter and opportunities for songbirds to nest. The plant composition exposes the front materials only minimally during winter.
Forest edge
This plant concept is especially green and lush — characterized by vibrant, visually prominent foliage. The composition focuses on structure-forming leaf shapes that create a calm and cohesive expression. Ferns, large-leaved perennials, and small shrubs define the look.
Biodiversity
Flora and fauna go hand in hand in this plant composition. Flowering and berry-producing species together create a long blooming period, providing food sources for insects and berries for birds. Small shrubs offer natural nesting opportunities for songbirds. Biodiversity can be further supported with biodiversity elements such as nesting boxes, insect hotels, bat boxes, and more.
All VERTICAL façades are supplied with project-specific irrigation and technical cabinets, which are installed by our specialists together with the façade. These ensure the correct moisture and nutrient levels for the plants throughout the season and are connected to our real-time online monitoring of the green facade’s condition, keeping our back office informed.
Our irrigation technology is highly reliable, and all systems are fully frost-protected, allowing them to withstand all seasons. Due to the monitoring and
monitoring of the green facade’s condition ensures that irrigation is carried out precisely and without any risk that seasonal or weather conditions will cause water shortages at the early start of the growing season. This also means that the water supply can be accurately dosed throughout the year, keeping water waste to a minimum.
With our irrigation system, you can choose to irrigate with mains water or reuse collected rainwater for irrigation.

VERTICAL is a complete solution that includes a comprehensive operation and maintenance agreement, in which the wall is monitored for moisture, temperature, and plant growth through built-in sensors.
Behind this, a specialised back-office team continuously monitors the condition of the wall. This provides peace of mind and ensures that your façade remains vibrant, green, and flourishing.
The operation and maintenance agreement places particular emphasis on ensuring the green façade’s
health throughout all seasons, as well as supporting the developer’s desired aesthetic.
Together with the specialised, frost-proof irrigation technology and the daily monitoring of the façade’s condition, you can relax. There is no operational responsibility placed on the developer.
VERTICAL IS PART OF THE BUILDING
The facade system is delivered pre-grown according to the selected planting concept and is quickly installed using the specially designed irrigation technology. The system includes a complete maintenance agreement and full warranty.
